Abstract

The media is very important in defining what the country contains of tourist areas, whether they are natural, archaeological, historical, or any field of tourist attractions, by using all advanced media and communication means such as films and advertisements capable of attracting the local citizen, and the foreign tourist, and therefore the media Tourism is a necessary and pivotal tool in the tourism industry.
The media plays a major role in this field through various means of advertising or promotion represented by visual, audio, and print media, exhibitions, films, publications, and others. Despite the importance of the media, the tourism sector in Egypt still suffers from a lack of interest in the field of tourism media.
This research aims to identify the role of tourism media in promoting tourist areas and attracting new tourist markets to Egypt, and how to raise its efficiency through the proposed media strategy.
The results showed that the media had a positive impact on tourism promotion and promotion. Through the various media, the individual derives his information, which he usually receives in the form of news about tourism facts and information that are of interest to both local and foreign tourists.
The research recommendations are: allocating sufficient budgets for marketing within the formal tourism agencies as well as the private tourism sector, in order to finance tourism campaigns at home and abroad.
