Abstract

Health tourism is considered one of the most attractive patterns for the Egyptian market due to Egypt's diverse assets, which create a high demand for these services. Health tourism is characterized by combining tourism and medical treatment, where tourists of this type seek to receive medical and therapeutic services while enjoying tourist attractions simultaneously.
Egypt is considered an attractive destination for tourists from Africa and beyond due to its unique natural, historical, and cultural assets. It possesses a large number of specialized health resorts that provide therapeutic and rejuvenating services, offering a distinctive experience with competitive quality and prices. Therefore, health tourism stands out as one of the most appealing tourist patterns for the Egyptian market, particularly for African countries with lower levels of healthcare. Health tourism can be a profitable field that significantly contributes to the development of Egypt's tourism sector, improves the country's economic situation, and provides job opportunities for local residents.
The research aims to explore the pattern of health tourism in Egypt, analyze its current status, identify the obstacles hindering its tourism flow from African countries, in particular, and propose solutions to overcome these obstacles. Additionally, the research aims to develop marketing strategies to attract the African market for this type of tourism, thereby preserving one of the national economy's assets. This will be achieved through conducting surveys and personal interviews targeted at tourism companies and the government tourism sector.
